Choose a species-specific plan

Do not use one setup for all spiders, insects or isopods. Ask for detailed housing, food and moisture guidance for your exact animal.

Keep a record of feeding and behavior. Ask what changes to expect during growth and molting.

Tarantula hairs and some bites or stings can harm people or other animals. Keep pets and children away, and avoid unnecessary handling.

Ask an appropriate exotics professional before changing a habitat or trying a treatment.
