Hamster care essentials

Respect their routine
Hamsters are active mainly around dusk and at night. Let them rest undisturbed during the day and handle gently when awake.
Offer burrowing space, hiding places and safe enrichment.
Choose housing carefully
Hamsters are generally solitary and may fight. Ask for guidance for your exact species; do not assume two hamsters should share a home.
Check water delivery, eating and stored food regularly. Use a suitable balanced hamster diet.
